Chromatius

Who they were
Chromatius became Bishop of Aquileia about 388 and was one of the most celebrated bishops of his time, a friend and correspondent of St Ambrose, St Jerome and Rufinus, whom he urged to write many learned works.
He tried to make peace in the quarrel between Jerome and Rufinus, rooted out Arianism in his diocese, and left homilies and treatises on the Gospel. He died about 407.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A scholarly bishop who encouraged the Church's great teachers and sought peace.
