Clare of Rimini

Who they were
Clare Agolanti, born at Rimini in 1282, lost her parents and pious husband young and fell into a sinful life. At Mass one day she seemed to hear a voice asking her to say one Our Father and Hail Mary with fervour; she obeyed, and began to reflect on her life.
She took the habit of the Third Order of St Francis, did penance and became known for charity to the poor and afflicted. She helped the exiled Poor Clares find a home at Rimini, later joined them and became superior of Our Lady of the Angels. She died at Rimini on 10 February 1346.
The miracles
The honour paid to her was approved by Pope Pius VI in 1782.
