Born at Redenção in Ceará, Clemência de Oliveira was a Daughter of Charity who worked for thirteen years in the kitchen of the Colégio da Imaculada in Fortaleza and later at Pacoti and Baturité, where she was remembered for healing and for her care of the poor.
