The Roman Martyrology remembers him among the martyrs of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God killed at Paracuellos del Jarama near Madrid in Spain; the Acts of the Apostolic See describe him as a professed brother, born on 23 November 1861 at Fuentes de Nava in the diocese of Palencia, shot on 28 November 1936. He was beatified by John Paul II on 25 October 1992.
