Who they were
In the village of Saint-Cloud in the territory of Paris in France, Saint Clodoald, priest, who, born of royal lineage, after the violent death of his father and brothers, was taken in by his grandmother Saint Clotilde and, having scornfully refused earthly power, became a cleric.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
