Who they were
At Kildare in Ireland, Saint Conleth, bishop, who was a companion of Saint Brigid in the spiritual care of her monastery and of the others placed under her jurisdiction, and had great authority among the prelates of the place.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 3 May as a bishop of Kildare who shared with Saint Brigid the spiritual care of her monasteries.
