Who they were
In Pamphylia, in present-day Turkey, Saint Conon, martyr, who, a gardener, under the Emperor Decius was forced to run before a chariot with his feet pierced by nails and, having fallen to his knees, gave up his spirit to God in prayer.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 5 March as a gardener martyred in Pamphylia under the Emperor Decius.
