His diocesan inquiry was opened in 2006 in the competent forum of Shillong, and on 22 May 2026 Pope Leo XIV authorised the decree on the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Costantino Vendrame, professed priest of the Salesian Society, making him Venerable.
