Who they were
Crescens was a companion of St Paul during his second Roman captivity; Paul writes that Crescens had gone to Galatia (2 Timothy 4:10), most likely on a missionary journey.
The earliest tradition makes him a bishop of the Churches of Galatia. The Roman Martyrology commemorates his martyrdom there under Trajan, though older martyrologies do not confirm it.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
