Who they were
Cristóbal Pérez del Barrio, in the world Thomas, was born at Palencia on 21 December 1864 and entered the Hospitaller Order of St John of God by perpetual vows on 24 November 1893. The decree places him with the brothers of the Valencia community, at the house in the Malvarrosa district, who were killed at Valencia on 4 October 1936 and buried in the district cemetery, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
