Who they were
Cruz Ibáñez López, in the world Dionysius Anterus, was born at Sabinan near Zaragoza, in Spain, on 3 January 1886 and bound himself to God by perpetual vows in the Hospitaller Order of St John of God on 27 May 1917. The decree places him with the brothers of the Valencia community, at the house in the Malvarrosa district, who were killed at Valencia on 4 October 1936 and buried in the district cemetery, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
