Damián Gómez Jiménez

Who they were

Damián Gómez Jiménez was born on 12 February 1871 in the village of Solana de Rioalmar near Avila and was ordained priest in 1895; much loved by the faithful, he served in many parishes of the diocese and the decree calls him a priest of great spiritual depth and untiring in his ministry. He was killed near Mombeltran on 19 August 1936, and was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
