Who they were
Daniel Gómez Lucas was born at Hacinas in the province and diocese of Burgos on 10 April 1910 and made his first religious profession on 16 July 1935. Arrested on 15 October 1936 and taken to the prison of St Anthony in Madrid, he was killed at Paracuellos de Jarama on 28 November following, and was beatified with the Spanish martyrs of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate on 17 December 2011 by Benedict XVI.
