Who they were
At Nicomedia in Bithynia, in present-day Turkey, Saints Dasius, Zoticus and Gaius, who, servants of Diocletian's household, unjustly accused of setting fire to the imperial palace, were condemned to death and drowned in the sea with heavy stones tied to their necks.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 21 October among three servants of Diocletian's household drowned at Nicomedia after being falsely accused of burning the palace.
