Who they were

In the monastery of Himmerod near Trier in Germany, Blessed David, monk, who, frail in body, was received at Clairvaux by Saint Bernard, who later sent him with some brethren to Germany to found a new monastery, where day and night he devoted himself to prayer and good works.

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 11 December as a monk sent by Saint Bernard to found Himmerod, given to prayer and good works.
