Who they were
In the Vosges mountains in Burgundy, in the territory of present-day France, Saint Deodatus, bishop of Nevers, who tradition says founded in this place a monastery that later took his name.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 19 June as a bishop of Nevers said to have founded a monastery in the Vosges that later took his name.
