Who they were
Deusdedit (Frithona), a native of Wessex, was consecrated sixth Archbishop of Canterbury in 655, the first Anglo-Saxon to hold the see.
Little is known of his nine years as archbishop. He died on 14 July 664 and was buried in St Peter's porch at Canterbury.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
