Who they were
Didák Kelemen was born in 1683 at Baksafalva in Transylvania. He entered the Minorite (Conventual Franciscan) order in 1702, taking the name Didák, and became provincial superior in 1717.
In his lifetime he built churches and schools and cared for orphans and the elderly. He died in Miskolc, Hungary, on 28 April 1744, aged 61. His beatification process, begun by the Bishop of Transylvania in 1794, is still continuing, and the Archdiocese of Eger keeps his memory each year.
