Italian Dominican priest who founded the Ara Crucis monastery at Faenza
Who they were
Giovanni Galluzzi of Cattolica entered the Dominicans, was ordained in 1936, and from 1948 at Faenza was entrusted with the formation of seminarians for the ministry of confession; seeing the difficulties of priests, he founded a monastery of nuns to pray for them, canonically erected as the Ara Crucis in 1955.

The diocesan inquiry into his heroic virtues ran at Faenza from 30 October 2010 to 12 January 2025, and he is buried in the Ara Crucis monastery church.
