Who they were

Born on 26 January 1951 at Cantón Ilom, near Chajul in Guatemala, he was married with three children and was asked by Father José María Gran Cirera to keep the sacristy and to go with him on pastoral visits to the villages of the parish, sharing his work, his hardships and his danger; he was killed with him on 4 June 1980. Pope Francis beatified him with José María Gran Cirera and his nine companions on 23 April 2021.
