Who they were
At Nagasaki in Japan, Blesseds Anthony of Saint Bonaventure, of the Order of Friars Minor, Dominic Castellet, of the Order of Preachers, priests, and twenty companions, martyrs, some of whom were lay people and many children: all suffered martyrdom for Christ by the sword or at the stake.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 8 September as a Dominican priest martyred for Christ at Nagasaki with twenty companions.
