Who they were
Dominic Magoshichi was a religious of the Order of Preachers. At Omura in Japan he was imprisoned with Blessed Apollinaris Franco and Blessed Thomas Zumarraga and then burned alive out of hatred for the faith; the Church remembers him on 12 September.
He is one of the 205 martyrs killed in Japan for the Catholic faith between 1617 and 1632 whom Pius IX declared Blessed on 7 July 1867.
