Donato Jiménez Bibiano

Who they were

Donato Jiménez Bibiano was born at Alaejos, between Valladolid and Salamanca, on 21 March 1873, professed his vows in 1893 and was ordained priest in 1899. He was superior of almost every community in which he lived and gave himself to missionary work and to fostering vocations; he was imprisoned and killed, probably in the night of 17 September 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him on 22 October 2022.
