Who they were
At Orange, again in France, Blesseds Amata of Jesus (Marie-Rose) de Gordon and six companions, virgins and martyrs, who in the same persecution, having refused to abandon the religious life, were condemned to death and joyfully received the palm of martyrdom. Their names are: Blessed Marie de Jésus (Marguerite-Thérèse) Charansol, Marie-Anne of Saint Joachim Béguin-Royal, Marie-Anne of Saint Michael Doux, Marie-Rose of Saint Andrew Laye, Dorothée of the Heart of Mary and Madeleine of the Blessed Sacrament de Justamont.
