Edmigio Primo Rodríguez
Brother of the Christian Schools, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
A Brother of the Christian Schools, in religion Edmigio and in the world Isidoro Primo Rodríguez, born on 4 April 1881 at Adalia in the diocese of Palencia and professed in 1911; he was an excellent teacher, prudent and devoted to the Virgin Mary. He was one of seven Brothers of the Christian Schools arrested at Almería on 22 July 1936; three of them, including him, were shot at Tabernas on the night between 30 and 31 August 1936 and their bodies thrown into a well. He was beatified on 10 October 1993 by John Paul II, among Diego Ventaja Milán and his companions, martyrs of Almería.
