Who they were
Eduardo Valverde Rodríguez was born on 18 February 1878 at Adra, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1901.
He was killed on 23 October 1936 in the cemetery of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
