Why that counted as sanctity
Belarusian Catholics gathered in Minsk cathedral in October 2022 to pray for his swift beatification, Bishop Kosobudzki encouraging prayer through his intercession; the Holy See gave the nihil obstat in 2015 and the diocesan inquiry opened on 10 April 2016.
