Who they were

At Seoul in Korea, Saints Benedicta Hyŏng Kyŏng-nyŏn, widow and catechist, and six companions, martyrs, who, after suffering many tortures for the name of Christ, finally died by beheading.

Among those named is Saint Elisabeth Chŏng Chŏng-hye, a virgin, daughter of Saint Cecilia Yu So-sa and sister of Saint Paul Chŏng Ha-sang.

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 29 December among the companions of Saint Benedicta Hyŏng Kyŏng-nyŏn, martyrs beheaded at Seoul.
