Why that counted as sanctity
The Diocese of San Pedro de Macorís opened the diocesan phase of her cause on 21 March 2026 in the cathedral of San Pedro Apóstol, presided by Bishop Santiago Rodríguez, after the nihil obstat of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints; with the opening she received the title Sierva de Dios.
