At Rome, the commemoration of Saint Emiliana, virgin, aunt of Pope Saint Gregory the Great, who, shortly after her sister Tarsilla, also returned to the Lord.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 5 January as a virgin of Rome, aunt of Pope Saint Gregory the Great.
