Who they were
Emilio Antequera Lupiañez was born on 16 March 1868 in the village of Narila, in the province and archdiocese of Granada, and was ordained priest in 1895.
He was killed at Pozo de Cantavieja on 13 September 1936, and was beatified on 25 March 2017 by Pope Francis, among the companions of José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre.
