Who they were
Emilio Huidobro Corrales was born at Villaescusa del Butrón on 9 August 1917. Rejected by his stepfather after his mother's death, he lived at the college and learned to play several instruments.
He was killed in 1937, during the Spanish Civil War, with the priest Valentín Palencia Marquina and three other young laymen of the college Don Palencia had founded; their only fault, the Dicastery says, was wanting to defend the faith and share the fate of their father, teacher and friend.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

A young man who died with the priest who had taken him in.
