Who they were
Emma Üffing was born and baptised on 8 April 1914 at Halverde, in the Steinfurt district, and grew up with ten brothers and sisters in a small village.
As Sister Maria Euthymia of the Sisters of Mercy she served God among the sick with remarkable piety, kindness and forgetfulness of self. She died on the morning of 9 September 1955.
