Who they were

A professed religious, in the world Gabriel, born on 19 March 1907 at Pácora in the province of Caldas, one of the seven Colombian brothers of the Hospitaller Order of St John of God who were completing their religious and technical formation at Ciempozuelos; they were shot at Barcelona on 9 August 1936. He was beatified on 25 October 1992 by John Paul II, among Braulio María Corres, Federico Rubio and sixty-nine companions of the Hospitaller Order of St John of God.
