Eugenio García Tribaldos

Who they were
Brother Agustín María (Eugenio García Tribaldos) was born at Vellisca, in the province of Cuenca, on 13 July 1877, and made his perpetual vows as a Brother of the Christian Schools in 1913. He taught in Valladolid, Bujedo and Madrid, edited the magazine Eco de Belén and ran the Brothers' Madrid procure and the Bruño publishing house. On 30 July 1936 militiamen raided the house where he lived; he and six other Brothers were taken to the Pradera de San Isidro in Madrid and shot.
Pope Benedict XVI declared him a martyr in 2011, and he was beatified at Tarragona on 13 October 2013 with his companions.

He is named as the leader of the sixteen De La Salle Brothers of Madrid beatified as martyrs in 2013.
