Who they were
At Mérida in Spain, Saint Eulalia, virgin and martyr, who, as tradition has it, while still young, did not hesitate to offer her life to bear witness to faith in Christ.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
