Who they were
Eulogio Álvarez López was born at Quintana de Fuseros in Spain on 28 July 1916 and entered the monastery of Santa María de Viaceli in 1930, making his temporary profession in April 1935.
He was beatified on 3 October 2015 by Pope Francis, among the Spanish Cistercian martyrs of the Strict Observance.
