Who they were
Eulogius, Patriarch of Alexandria from 580 to 607, fought the Monophysite errors of Egypt and defended the Council of Chalcedon.
A warm friend of St Gregory the Great, he was praised by him for defending the primacy of Rome.

The Catholic Encyclopedia does not describe how he came to be honoured as a saint.
