Who they were
The Roman Martyrology names him at Almeria on the Andalusian coast of Spain, one of three Brothers of the Christian Schools who won the palm of martyrdom in the persecution against religion during the civil war.
The Acta Apostolicae Sedis print him as Brother Evencio Ricardo, in the world Eusebio Alonso Uyarra, born at Viloria de Rioja in the diocese of Calahorra y La Calzada on 5 March 1907, who made his religious profession in 1932 and was shot on 8 September on the road leading to Boquetas.
