Faustino Pérez-Manglano Magro

Who they were

Faustino Pérez-Manglano Magro was born in Valencia, Spain, on 4 August 1946 and went to a school run by the Society of Mary (Marianists). In October 1959, during a retreat, he felt called to religious life among the Marianists, and he was a postulant of the Society when he died.

In February 1961 he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. He bore it with courage and cheerfulness, went on pilgrimage to Lourdes with the sick of Valencia, and died on Sunday 3 March 1963 in his mother's arms, aged sixteen.
