Who they were
Known as Righetto, he reported apparitions of the Virgin as a child at San Luca di Montefalco, where the shrine of the Madonna della Stella grew up, and later became a Somascan religious.

Why that counted as sanctity
The bishop of Treviso introduced his cause on 8 December 1981 and the diocesan stage closed there in 1984; the Hagiography Circle dates the opening to 21 November 1981.
