Who they were
Federico (Carlos) Rubio Álvarez was a priest of the Hospitaller Order of St John of God.
He was killed with three companions at Talavera de la Reina on 25 July 1936, one of 71 Hospitaller Brothers martyred during the Spanish Civil War, who died forgiving their enemies.
