Who they were
The fourth-century Depositio Martyrum records seven martyrs honoured at Rome on 10 July, buried in four catacombs. Their Acts, known to St Gregory the Great, who preached on them, say that all seven were the sons of Felicitas, a noble Roman lady, and that mother and sons were martyred for refusing to sacrifice to the gods.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: Felicitas has been honoured as a martyr since the early centuries.
Why that counted as sanctity
Felicitas encouraged her own sons to die for Christ and then followed them, a mother whose love reached beyond this life.
