Who they were

The decree on martyrdom lists her among the Daughters of the House of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born in 1861 in the territory of Zaragoza, and says she belonged to the Madrid community. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

Named in the decree on martyrdom among Manuela del Corazón de Jesús and twenty-two companions of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity killed in Spain in 1936.
