Who they were

A coadjutor brother of the Congregation of the Passion, born on 6 March 1915 at Quintanilla de la Berzosa in the diocese of Palencia and professed on 22 October 1932; at Daimiel he looked after the community's clothing and sometimes the kitchen and garden. He was shot at Carabanchel Bajo on 23 July 1936. He was beatified on 1 October 1989 by John Paul II, among Nicéforo Díez Tejerina and twenty-five companions of the Congregation of the Passion.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology names him among the Passionist martyrs of Spain.
