Who they were
Félix de Tortosa was born at Tortosa in the province of Tarragona on 2 April 1894 and made his solemn vows on 23 January 1926. He was killed on the edge of Santa Maria Palafolls on 1 August 1936, declaring that he was dying for Christ.
He was beatified on 21 November 2015 by Pope Francis, among the twenty-six Capuchin martyrs of Barcelona.
