The Roman Martyrology for 13 July records that at Galeazza near Bologna, Blessed Ferdinando Maria Baccillieri, a priest, cared attentively for the people entrusted to him and founded the Congregation of the Servants of Mary for the help of poor families and above all for the education of girls. The Acta Apostolicae Sedis record that Pope John Paul II beatified him on 3 October 1999.
