Who they were
Parish priest of Császár, born at Sopronnyék (now Neckenmarkt in Austria) in 1855, killed in June 1919 during the terror of the Hungarian Soviet Republic after refusing to head the local council and urging his parishioners against violence.

Why that counted as sanctity
The cause's own site, run with the diocese of Győr, calls him a Servant of God, and the prayer for his beatification carries the nihil obstat of 17 January 2023 and the imprimatur of Bishop András Veres of Győr.
