Italian Catholic Action member from Verona who died in Flossenbürg concentration camp
Who they were
Flavio Corrà, of a farming family at Salizzole and a brother of the future bishop Sennen Corrà, joined the resistance after the 1943 armistice with his brother Gedeone; both were deported to Flossenbürg, where Gedeone died on 18 March 1945 and Flavio on 1 April 1945.
The miracles
No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.
Why that counted as sanctity
Two parallel diocesan inquiries were held in Verona from 14 September 2000 to 17 May 2003 and were declared valid on 9 November 2007. The Verona diocesan weekly calls the brothers Servants of God, and gives Flavio's death as 1 April 1945, where the Hagiography Circle record says 7 April.
