Flora Manfrinati, blind for seven years in childhood, founded the Opera di Nostra Signora Universale in Turin. The Hagiography Circle dates the opening 27 October 1960; Santiebeati gives 27 December 1960.

Why that counted as sanctity
Cardinal Maurilio Fossati opened the diocesan informative process in Turin in 1960; the Congregation for the Causes of Saints decreed the process valid on 6 October 1989 and she has been declared Venerable.
